Faster site?

Just upgraded the server to a Pentium 4 2.6 with 1GB RAM and did some kernel tweaks to use hyperthreading. Seems a lot more snappy here now... anyone comment?

Well, hell, there goes my mental image of the server taking six city blocks!

Don't forget to take it to work with you tomorrow, Chris

Just kidding of course It's running quite well and, in fact, the most nicely organized and easy-to-use forum I've used online. Great job, sir!

We got broadband at the weekend so I don't know what to compare it to, it's like changing channel on the TV compared to the old modem.

yours, Pete.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Anyone else been finding page loading a bit slow recently? Particularly posting stuff?

I've tried my boradband and home and at work and they both seem similar. It seems to depend which page you're loading!

It was faster when Chris first upgraded buy now...
