sva pass! ....now what?

passed sva retest yesterday at beverly. only had a few simple jobs to do. now i have the approval cert., whats the next step? do i ring up local dvla (stockton for me), do i need the car insured.? just confused

congratulations, you'll find a link at the top of the SVA forum going through the registration process including forms needed etc.

Reading that answered all my questions.

Well done...

Once you have it on the road.... TAKE it EASY to start with.

Get to know your car, as they are not like anything else on the road.
You dont want to prang your pride and joy just before the summer.

Hope you get as much enjoyment out of yours as I do mine.

Read the stick in the legal section.

Phone DVLA (central number) and order registation pack. Fill in the forms and take/post to local DVLA office. They'll arrange inspection and deal with the rest.

Or

Just call at the local office and ask for the person who deals with kit cars.

Call into Stockton with the car and all your bits of paper including insurance.

They might moan about not having an appointment but if she's there I'm sure she'll come out and inspect it. Once she has inspected it you can go back any time with the paperwork or do it straight away if you have it all.

I dropped in on my way back from Beverly and they were great.
