Standard chassis finish?
I see on the MK price list that powdercoating is an cost option, but if this isnt chosen what is the standard factory finish applied to the chassis ?

In all seriousness (is that a word?) my next chassis won't be powder coated.
I have a few ideas about upgrading the next car, such as ARB's and even moving the suspension pick up points (I know a development company who
will analyse the suspension).
Blending in powder coat is a nightmare. Racers (such as Matt @ Procomp) recommend black etch primer, but I'll probably go base coat and lacquer.

So if you order a basic chassis kit they paint for you ?

LOL!
I went for powder coated finish. But when the car is finished the only bits you can actually see are the roll bar and front wishbones, and both of
them are now a special finish of stone chipped powder coat and surface rust.

IM not a powder coat fan TBH, not only beacuse of the cost but i dont think the finish is that durable, it seems far to prone to cracking in my
experience.
I just wondered if it came bare metal or with a basic coating or primer/rust proofing.

also consider that nobody pays for the mk powder coating. they are always up for a bit of haggleing 
eerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Answer: if you do not ask for it Powder Coated it will bare metal.
You're better off getting it bare - preparing it yourself (de-burring and de-greasing) and getting it powder coated yourself. But it will cost
you more...
We did it this way and have no problems with flaking or peeling... so far, 3 years later!

you get it will be bare metal, i did, that painted my self, but i wished i hand painted, as sparying it in the cold did not help.
