Most things that are function don't look great tbh, full roll cages on kit cars, side vents on dax's, cycle or clamshell wings etc etc etc

Not that I'm interested in buying it, but it actually looks fairly professionally done except for the rear tailgate and lighting arrangement

If your gonna drive around in something as ugly as that converted Metro then you may as well have a bit of fun with it, I'm sure you could'nt make it look worse...

" It's also very useful for doing the shopping, as you can fit a trolley straight into the back with ease! "

LOL!

I think one of those would be perfect for me. I often get sooooo drunk I can't walk, so I have to use one of those mobility scooters to get home. But the scooter is so bloody slow on the motorway. This would allow me to drive straight in, and drive home at a reasonable speed.

There was a mk1 golf caddy that someone had done similar modifications to on ebay a few months ago, the guy had also put hydraulics on it, and in honour of that fact had written "be like snoop dogg" in the description - classic.

Why the wiper on the top window though?? Surely she wouldnt be allowed to ride the scooter whilst in the back??

Id be quite chuffed if id made it, but it does look incredibly ugly. It certainly woudnt handle as well as it used to!

Come on boy, Roll over Rover!!!

Kindest Regards,

It's a quite common conversion, the wheelchair user rolls right up into the back and the chair is locked down to the floor saving the trouble of getting the person in and out of the chair - particularly important if the chair is fitted with oxygen tanks or a mobile ventilator.

As it happens, this one is only a mile or so away from me, but I don't think I'll bother taking a look!

I did see an observation car version of a VW campervan once, where someone had cut a hole in the roof and grafted on the top half of a VW Beetle.

I've seen the same idea with an old Sherpa van given an extended roof to make a camper by using on the top half of a Minivan.
It was every bit as bad as it sounds!
