Recommend me a moby please...
Greetings wise folks of LB Land...
I'm looking for a new moby as the Sony Ericsson I have is really getting my goat. It keeps locking-up, freezing, switching itself off, etc...
SWMBO got a Nokia N79 and it does everything I want but I'd like it to be a bit smaller.
I've got my eye on the Sony Ericsson Satio but it isn't available yet. It's been 'coming soon' for the past six
months!
I'd like:
A good camera with flash.
Wi-fi.
Blue teeth.
Symbian (sp?) OS so I can upload those driving performance app thingys.
GPS.
And perhaps, be able to use it to 'phone people.
Any recommendations folks?
What have you guys got and how good are they?
Cheers in advance folks.

I love my Nokia 5800, I didn't think I'd like a phone with (next to) no buttons, but it's great. While it's no brick,
it's not the smallest phone.

Just swapped my old E61 for a Nokia E71 chuffed to mintballs with it, installed Garmin on it which works like a dream and a load of other apps. I had
previously upgraded the E61 to a Sony Ericsson which as a camera or MP3 player was good but as a phone a complete waste of space and was doing all the
things yours was.
Cheers,
Bob

Unfortunately I went for a Nokia N97. It is the least user friendly , unreliable, flaky piece of digital equipment I have had for a very long time! I
replaced a Treo Centro that I thought was a bit iffy as I had stuffed it to the gunwalls with flaky free software but it is way more reliable. I
dumped it as I needed 3G for tethering my lappy, even that needs a workaround with the N97 and is not as fast as it should be. The Centro had TomTom
which worked great. The GPS on the N97 sucks. It takes ages to get a signal and seems to require to be on line even if you have downloaded maps to
find anywhere and give directions . It has also dumped me at entirely the wrong address for a given post code AARGH!

i have got an e71 and about once a week it throws a spack and turns its self off every time i try and make a call. does it about 6 times in a row
then behaves again.
if nokia can sort that little problem out for me i would say its a cracking little phone.

I've recently got a Google G1 from T-Mobile - and I think it's amazing! It's got the Android operating system, a form of Linux, and
there's all sorts of free and paid-for apps available.
It's like a cut-price iPhone... and I got one as a free upgrade, so I'm happy. In fact, I cashed my old phone in so this one cost me
-£58.
The down-side is the battery life, which ain't great if you keep playing Soduku on the train!

Another 5800 fan - got it last week and I like it.
Where are people getting all the apps they're installing.
Supposedly the most popular phone in the country at the moment is the iphone. Lad next to me at work waited a month to get his.

I was in London at the weekend and caught a taxi to get me, Mrs Coose and Coose jnr back to a friends house after a wedding. The taxi driver
didn't want to move unless I gave him a post code. But, I gave him all of the road numbers and told him exactly where we were going. Needless
to say, because he couldn't use his feckin' sat nav he got lost....
I then had to direct him to where we were going (bearing in mind I haven't lived down there for 6 years and I didn't know where we were
until I saw a road sign) and then took great pleasure in stressing the fact that I NEVER got lost around London in the four years that I lived there
(driving all over the place as a mobile engineer), using only an A to Z and the ability to know which in direction I was travelling....
Sat nav? Pah....
Spin 'er off Well...
