Barcelona - where to stay? what to see?
Got a couple of day's to kill in Barcelona and looking for guidance on what to see (apart from the stadium tour which I have to do on orders
from my son) and where to stay in the city... finances dont stretch to flashy hotels sadly...
will have my teenage son there so anything that'll amuse would be great...

All the Goudy fella buildings, go to the Sagrada-Familia and do the city bus tours.
Then there's a couple of Irish bars at the bottom of the Ramblers..
Watch your pockets!

Use Trip Advisor for places to stay, will be more up to date than any recommendations on here.
Go see the Gaudi buidlings, especially the cathedral, and go up to the top.
If you like food go to the market off the Ramblas (which you will walk down!) in the morning, check out the fantastic fresh produce and eat the best
tapas at the stands at the back. A mate of mine is a top London chef, and recons they're the best tapas anywhere in Spain!
Sit anywhere in the central town and watch the parade of some of the most beautiful young women you'll see anywhere ... you're son will
like that!!
But REALLY watch out for pick pockets, I got done staring up at a Gaudi building. One of the worst places in Europe for it apparently.
That's spooky, we said almost exactly the same things - except I can spell Gaudi
