DOHC in rough position

Dropped the twinky engine in today...this is it in its rough position ...there is 55mm of sump below the bottom rails...240mm engine sticking up higher than the scuttle rails..only thing is this is great... just now... but still have a ruddy great plenum chamber to bolt back on !!

Looking good. Not familiar with the DOHC, what is the tube across the back of the block?

Looks like a crankcase breather from the block to the cam cover / inlet.

some folk have chopped the plenum and re-welded them to make them fit under the bonnet

Thats exactly what it is...and very lucky its still there it snagged on the way in ...looking at carb and megajolt options but looks like it may be bloody expensive !!

Make a log manifold like the griffin power one for the zetec. It wont be the last word in performance but will fit, look tidy and work.

Good point. I think quantum do a log type plenum for the xtreme, i wonder if that is the griffin one.

Just seen the new bonnet Saturn have produced....its the donkeys....will wait off and see if it will fit with/without modding...would prefer not...i have aspirations of a BEC after IVA just using this lump to get age related plate ..
