Yeah does it to everyone, just hit refresh (F5) on the "webpage expired" screen and then enter on he dialogue box to "retry" and it will reload the first page, saves you having to type all the fields.

I open up the search page then go to the item i want to view, and right click on the mouse
and open link in a new window or tab,

that way the search window is always open

That's what I find, quite frustrating really

In general I find the search feature a real nightmare & rarely turns up the results I am looking for.

Before I get hung drawn & quartered by the masses, I am the first person to admit that I am a computer numpty & probably just don't know how to use the search feature properly

The main thing people get wrong with search is selecting the type of search. The default behaviour is to search for posts with ANY of the words entered at least once.

So if you enter 'petrol tank' you'll find all threads with the words petrol OR tank in them - probably a fair few.

However, you can choose 'search for all words' which will only return posts that contain BOTH words, but not necessarily in that order. So a sentance such as...

"I've never seen a tank that could run on petrol"

...will match both words, but probably isn't what you want either.

That's where the last option comes in 'Search Exactly' which does exactly what it says on the tin.

You've actually got me thinking about this.... I think it wise to switch the default behaviour of search to 'ALL' rather than 'ANY'.

On the original point, yeah I know that's a pain. Need to think of a better way of implementing the results page to solve that one.
