Photo limits?

Please advise - what are limits on file size and type, for pics.? Have tried to upload normal jpg, and been told its not the approved file type.

is a *.jpg (which should work fine)


or a apple style *.jpeg ?

Hello mcerd;

Its a jpeg (according to "properties", downloaded from my Canon digicam, 3.58Mb size.

just change the file extension to jpeg, it should still load fine

^^ what he said, just re-name them *.jpg


or open them in an editor and "save as" a *.jpg


if you get this issue alot it might be worth looking in the advanced options on the camera to see if you can change the format it saves in

No, there is also some sort of size limit too, not sure exactly what it is, might be somewhere around 1.5Mb? Maybe even 2? When the file is too big, it still says incorrect format though.
Easiest way I find, open the pic in mspaint, find stretch/skew in the option, for stretch, change to 50% x50%, hit save, job done
Although at 3.8Mb you could probably go down to 40 or even 30% and the pic will still be pretty big

Been using this for as long as I have had a PC, appears in the context menu, so you only have to right click the photo.

Yup - Resized the pic, and it worked fine. Thnx for the feedback.
