Pinning topics
I have been out of it for a while now with moving house twice in the last six months building a new workshop etc etc.
One thing that I have noticed (now that I am back) is that the electrolysis thread is still going good and strong at the top of the board. But there
are other topics that have been revisited a few times with new threads.
So the question, is it possible to pin topics that will always be of interest, so that they are at the top of the board and hence are easily
accessible without disappearing into the annals of time; Thus allowing a progression of the topic without covering old ground?
Just a thought.

I like that idea... kind of a permanent link.

You have that facility in favorites. This gives you the ability to save your favourites

Yes you do have a facility in favorites, but if you are new member or have missed the topic then it can cause a thread going over old ground (and
sometimes missing some of the important points).
I have seen sites that use this system with a pinned topic list at the top of the page. Some of the threads stay for ever and some more topical ones
may only be pinned for a month or two.
I have found it useful as don't have to trawl for answers to common questions.
But hey it’s only an idea to form a quick link to useful information.
