Uploading pics - help please

Im going to apologise in advance for this one. Im having problems uploading pics. Some of you guys will hate me for asking. Ive searched for the solution but cant see it. Here goes...

Im logged on. I have a photo archive set up. I have even uploaded two pics to it before. However today when i try i just get the page cannot be displayed error message. The pics are saved on my C-drive as jpegs. Ive browsed, selected, called it a name (both by typing and swaring at it!) but when i hit the upload button i get the error message. Tried several times with different pics.
What ihave i done wrong??? Does anyone have a like to an idiots guide?

Cheers,
Darren.

Are there any spaces in the file names? Some people have had problems...

Yes there is. Reading the searches i saw there was a problem with underscores. Do i need to remove the spaces? Im sure my other pics have spaces in them. Ill give it a try anyway.
Cheers

Just tried removing the spaces, didnt work.
Is there a size restriction?
What is puzzling me is that i get the page cant be displayed screen rather than a general warning.
Any other ideas? or is it a problem with the website today?

That was one of the pics i managed to upload last year.
