my girlfirends dog chases its tail all the time, its a mongrel terrier type thing. we were watching tv about 12 months ago the the dog was going
mental trying to get its tail.
Then
it actually managed to get its tail and bit down on it. he gave an almighty yelp like when you stand on a dogs foot.
i nearly wet my self laughing it was so funny

That shows intelligence....
We used to have a terrier that did similar things, it's pretending the foot is after the bone demonstrating that animals have imagination.
It's called playing, you'll notice the dog doesn't bite the foot hard, it's not that dumb. edit:- unlike Liam's
girlfriends dog which shows classic symptoms of going stir crazy.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I agree with pete the girlfriends dog is stir crazy. it is walked very infrequently, its quite an inteligent animal. it knows its own name, without
having been taught.
I taught it to sit in about 2 mins, and given a few hours i could get it to walk heel, lay, wait, bark on command
Thing is i started teaching it things and he thinks he belongs to me now!
