Thanks ChrisW
Thanks Chris,
For locking those threads.
I think most of the sane people around here have heard enough about that particular subject.
Also for locking the Miserable Cat.......B thread. I think it would have been better to delete it but Locking it is definitely a step forward.
Cheers
Mark

SO if people didn't tell others of the service we have had,
loads more people would be getting ripped off !
thought here in England we had freedom of speech

I agree with ChrisW for locking the thread.
But I also believe that as a community we should know about bad service from companies trading with us for our hobbies.
There are usually two sides to every story, and people should have words with the traders in question in a private way. Outbursts are not the right
way of resolving issues.
If people are getting consistantly bad service from any of the traders, we need to know about it. And those companies providing bad service will
eventually dissapear because no one will use them.
The forum should not become venue for a slagging match. Which I think is why ChrisW locked the threads on the subject.

Well im glad that that MCOB thread got locked anyway...
As for Darren and GTS, he hasnt paid to be a trader and fairly constantly has people complaining about service. Its a miracle he's survived to
be honest. But i think people know what to expect from him anyway... i wouldnt've locked that thread though, it would've made a perfect
controlled environment for calvinx to vent some rage

You have freedom of speech, but if you keep saying the same thing, eventually someone will tell you to shut up! We've heard enough about this
now, everyone is aware of the situation, and unless there's something new to bring to the table, please take it up directly with Darren.

but when he says
phone your credit card company up and try to claim your money back, and then put the phone down on you . and then wont answer the phone,
what do you do?
i think people should know about it !
i work hard for my money !
as do most other people on this board

The thread that I started had nothing to do with the GTS debate. I merely wanted to know why the buttons were missing off that particular ( Customer
service) thread.
Now that I know, I'm happy.
Now I want to know why my thread was locked?/
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

Have to agree with both sides, people should be made aware of bad service from traders, but it also shoudn't be allowed to become a slagging
match.
Which makes it difficult to moderate unfortunately
Although as Joel rightly points out, Darren hasn't even paid to be a trader!

Why moderate it. its a forum if theres a Disclaimer saying the ideas expressed on the site have nothing to do with the moderators they are safe.
Then again ive seen these things go both ways before, i remember seeing someone come on a a forum and bitch and moan about a chevy V8 supplier in the
USA. as soon as he did all the companies previous customers rallied round and defended the company. turns out the guys had done something silly and
chewed up his own engine and wanted to try n get his money back.
Im not saying anyone is to blame but every story has two sides and if GTS arnt on this forum or not on it 24/7 then it can be bad for business and
legal action can be needed to restore some kind of fairness.
Im new on these forums and to be honest as im not after anything from GTS its the first ive herd of it all. and to be honest, just from that they
have lost my business because i wouldn't wanna risk it just in case.
And thats my 2 cents
feel free to flame away if your disagree

I have to agree that the Cateringvan one has probably done its day.
Perhaps someone will catch them out again and start a new one,
Steve.

I wonder why this problem is isolated to just the GTS-section and not in the rest of the suppliers ex Luego,MNR etc.
Is GTS customers more piccy than a ex Mnr customer? Or does GTS have trouble with customer-service?

One the legal note, whilst Chris is doing his best to disclaim stuff under British (or is it English - not sure) you can not disclaim away your
responsibility. The signs you see in pub car parks about parking at your own risk - complete rubbish, its just an attempt to make you think you
can't sue the pub.
As the publisher of the information i believe chris has some legal duty of care. Considering what we get for free (you don't have to donate)
then i'm more than happy for chris to randomly decide whats fair and whats not. If you disagree, vote with your feet and set up a rival forum
& take the legal risk.
If you think there is no legal risk then investigate what happened to www.blatchat.com when (i think) Arrow went bankrupt & the legal
'discussions' the moderator of the board has had with Caterhams lawyers over a few years - hence the term Cateringvan.
(please note, i'm an internet trained laywer and this could be a complete load of tosh - apart from the bit about voting with your feet)
