Not quite sure why they think of this as a Caterham rival. More of an Atom rival. Also 700kg doesn't sound particularly light to me.

Must be quite difficult to actually make it that heavy!
Ballast?
Cheers,

700Kg for a track car!
Carbon fibre panels are wasted on a cast iron chasis and wheels?
Designed by a Japanese toy maker and built by I.K.Brunell!
My x-flow powered shed won't weigh that much and be just as quick, with a Nos Kit.

The 700kg is probably optimistic.
Iron Audi and DSG possibly one of the heaviest gearbox used in the sub 2ltr motors.
They are trying.
Styling is quite appealing but could do with shedding 100kg+.

There's already a kitcar looks vaguely similar to this tho' not quite as "space age" called something like
"Sunrunner".
Re the weight, I'll be amazed if it comes out that light - after all, 7 airbags, seatbelt pre tensioners, doorbars & as already said heavy
engine & box & with a price tag like that I'll be surprised if they sell many - you could buy a Lotus or VX220 for far less with similar
performance, full creature comforts (well, ish) & a roof!
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.
