DNS tweak
Just made a couple of tweaks to this site's DNS records. Hopefully this will speed up the time the site takes to initially load up. If you
notice any problems drop me a line.

Opening links.
When I open a link in a message it closes the site window without providing a back button to get back to it(greyed out). Anything to do with the
tweak?

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Sounds like a configuration issue your end mate. Works fine for me here (work) and at home. What system (PC/Mac), OS (Windows/Linux) and browser
(IE/Netscape/Opera/etc) are you using?

I.E. 6
I use Netscape 7 as well but that seems o.k.
It must be in my internet options on Explorer. Things like that seem to happen for no reason sometimes.. I have locostbuilders as home page on
Netscape so I 'll use that till I get sorted. Any ideas?

Done it now.
I fixed it with a registry tool. Seems it was a Malware application that was installed by some site I had looked at. I had one once before that
changed my homepage every time I restarted to some American sales site, but this one was worse cos it disabled the back button.

No worries Pete. Can you send your registry tool to Conrod? He's got a malware problem too - it's nicked his MSN search facility!

Try Adaware and set it to check for registry entries or inconsistencies. It found no end in mine but you don't have to fix them all or you can
lose stuff you didn't mean to. I found a handy tip on here
http://www.pcnineoneone.com/howto/regback3.html?
for resetting the registry. It gives instructions on changing the number of backups scanreg stores from 4 to whatever you want and there is a nifty
batch file (cabrest) to restore the backups but it only works in dos.
