Ford 7.5" LSD

Has anyone bought one of the bearing/rebuild kits and done it themselves. Be interested to know what kind of task it was. Thinking of doing mine, bit of bearing noise.

Cheers

Yes! and no I would not do it again, it's a real PITA. You will need a dial gauge and magnetic stand. Getting the pinion to the right height is a major hassle if you don't have the Ford rebuild tools, , and then getting it to mesh correctly, Arrrggggg! If I ever needed another rebuilt, would definately get it done by a specialist, and sod the expence. Should you feel the need for self flagulation, I have the rebuild details somewhere, for the 7" but the job is the same, give me a U2U and I will sort them out for you. HTH Ray
