northwest run outs?
steve8274 - 11/6/12 at 09:53 PM

hi all
having recently passed my iva, i am keen to go on a couple of drive outs in car.
is there anyone who regularly goes out in northwest (i am in wigan)
are there any regular meets. i know about poachers arms in preston, but have been working both times they had the meet since i passed my test.
hopefully get to next one
i am hoping to go to newark on saturday weather permitting. i currently have no wet weather gear!
thanks
steve

Well done on the pass if I missed that, I would say that if the weather looks good, get out there and do it.
Give as much notice as you can and post on here but get out there.

it also depends on if you want a fast run (blat) or a sedate drive?

Strongly suggest you do not do my runs unless you want 250 to 300 miles leisurely pace over 6 or 7 hours!

I also do the PASA runs when they occur and have to calm nerves after.

The RH crowd will be trying to organize Sunday morning runs soon.

Adrian

Post up early, I'm without car at the moment, but there are a lot of us around this area. I'm always lurking around and your always welcome down Adlington to my workshop for a brew and a chat about cars, I'm normally there all the time but quite busy at the moment. Not spending enough time on my build

TommyP is in Wigan. But he's getting his car ready for the alps run next week

Nice looking car and congrats on the Ivan pass.

Joe (PASA)

I've just recently bought another car so will be going out for some blats. They are usually last minute affairs based on freetime and the weather, but will try to give a shout out.

I too am planning to go to Newark this Saturday, again weather permitting, and you're welcome to join our convoy of two.

Nick.

cerbera - 12/6/12 at 07:18 AM

If Tom gets back in one piece from the alps. I will get him to arrange a drive out. Me as passenger so it won't be a very fast ride out but fast just short of very fast lol

Ta all good fun. Go at your own pace and enjoy the drive out. Think we've had about 8 in our little rides out. Look for old posts

PASA search fit it

Steve the RH club do not post their runs on here, I usually get them via email from Mitch as he send them out to club members.

Send him a message on Rhocar to include you if he will on the email reminders for events and club meets. I missed the last meeting as working on the car.

Adrian

Nothing wrong with the 1.8 CVH for a good starter.
