McSorley +442 steel order?
l0rd - 20/11/08 at 10:10 PM

Being considering on a McSorley +442, I would like people to let me know how much steel they ordered. I will try to build mine with an IRS suspension set up.

Thank you all very much.

check the bay of e some one out there has been supplying pre cut chasis packs. This will save you hours. Also available have been roadster chasis packs which are 2" wider. I made my car chasis 4 inches wider than the book also narrowed the top of the gearbox tunnel I have fitted bigger more comfortable seats "Mamba " and have loads of leg room and footspace as there is a further 2 inch available in each footwell.
Ps I didnt do this cos of my size cos I'm only 5'8" and 12 stone but i can get a big mate in the car if needed, I just crank the shockers up a notch

The ones flat packs supplied by armoto are the Mcsorley +4 as far as i know. Mcsorleys design is in live axle not irs. This means, the flat pack will have steel that i will have to cut back to design the IRS.

Plus, i would like to start doing it mu self, get some exercise and loose a stone.

I did a search before i brought mine and found a post that said 46m for a locost chassis. I brought 46m and have about 10 left over after quite a few mods

I have read that as well. But the +442 mcsorley will definatelly need a little bit more. Obviously when going IRS.

I have been looking at the drawings of the +442 and i am considering on going on a +884 but on the haynes chassis. I just don't like the McSorley - RC book nose chassis.

Is it possible to sent me a list with the steel that you ordered?

25X25 16swg 48m
19x19 16swg ?
round? etc?
