My son is looking to get a classic ford body shell for restoration.
We've been looking for a basic frame, with such as frame with 4 swivel wheels to get it onto a car transporter trailer and then use it in the
garage we have, rather than drag it or using pallets etc.
Any clues or pics anyone has made or know a website where to purchase one.
Thanks
if youre looking to restore a classic i'm assuming you have a welder?
If fo down to a metal yad a buy a load of 1" box section and then som swivel wheels from somewhere like RS and make one up to suit, will cost
alot less than buying and yuo can make it to suit!
You'll need very big castors to be any use for loading onto a trailer!!
Make a basic trailer and leave the car attached to it for restoration!
Supermarket trolleys only cost a quid and have good sturdy wheels. An old bed frame and some tongue and groove would do the trick nicely
heres one i made earlier
you could try searching 'dolly trolleys'. I did and came up with
hope this helps.
Thanks all,
Problem he has is that its just a shell, no springy bits underneath with round things.
I think he will have to improvise to get it home first using planks etc for skids. Then make a frame to measure with wheelies.
thanks
