CDS Tube Sizes
liam.mccaffrey - 24/12/08 at 10:39 PM

Is CDS tube available in inch increments in the uk eg 0.75", 1", 1.25" etc. as opposed to metric equivalents like 50mm??

everythings metric here now. but tend to be the metric equivalent of imperial, if that makes any sense.

eg, it'll be 25mm instead of 1"

now where can you get a list of standard cds (and normal) tube sizes?

I want to know if 1 1/8" with 1/8 wall is a standard size.

I think most tube stock is imperial

It depends on where the tube was sourced, but imperial sizes are the norm outside europe (north america), owt from europe is metric ask the steel stockholder where he got it from, most of the stuff we get is european (german)!! A lot of 25mm erw is chinese (arghhhhh) most large stockholders will have both, u get what u ask for.
