What benefits are there to having your round tube chassis?

Will it be lighter and stiffer than the square tubed version?

wozsher - 31/3/09 at 10:39 AM

Yep and looks better 2

What would the price be?

Could you do different variations of it?

Do you have any figures for the decrease in weight, or data to back up the stiffness?
- Not doubting its possable, but without a fair bit of thought or calculation i would suggest it would be very easy to produce a round tube chassis that behaved far too simularly to a squaretube to make the additional work worth the effort.

We r aiming for around £1000 mark with wishbones, pushrods etc.
Depending on what u have in mind Im sure we could adapt it 2 your requirements.

Dangle_kt - 31/3/09 at 11:02 AM

how would you panel a round tube chassis? Just curious - not a punter Im afraid!

wozsher - 31/3/09 at 11:12 AM

Weve dressed the panels around the tube
and fixed with rivets, not unlike the rear panel in the book

Hi Daniel
Yes we do have the figures but we dont want 2 give 2 much away at the moment just 2 say that a round tube chassis does act quite differently 2 a square tubed one

I must agree, I'm 23 and I utterly despise text speak.

Really, if you're trying to sell a product that someone will rely on to keep them alive, You'll do a lot better if you take the time to write words.

or: u shdt tlk n txt spk cus mks u lk lik u dnt cr.

Also, it's a bar steward to read.

It sounds impressive, but what you really need to do is post some pictures
