front wishbone brackets - tips and tricks
luke - 18/8/09 at 04:23 PM

Im in the middle of mounting all the front wishbone brackets and wondering if anyone has any tips for correct spacing?

i have the wishbones so was using them to space the two brackets like described in the book. But im struggling to work out how to allign the top wish bone in relation to the bottom without the uprights.

any tips? or diagrams?

i think you'll find it easier if you got some front uprights to help line everything up

Make a jig and make sure you are aware of the book error in castor before you weld anything. You don't need uprights first.

Look in my folder under bracket jig.

making the jig makes it *much* easier!

Be sure to read through this thread. I've never cared for those cantilevered brackets and this is a good set of pictures illustrating why... Pictures are on page 3.
