Hi all

I'm really confused (nowt new). I'm possibly looking for some grp panels for my car as i'm crap at forming ally and i dont want it to spoil the finish of the car. Primarily a rear tub and poss bonnet.

My chassis is 42" across am i right in thinking this is locost width?

Ive found the saturn website but beleive their stuff is for the haynes roadster. Is this wider than the locost?

I'm well confused with all these different names for chassis', 442's, mcsorleys, haynes, gibbs....

Also does anyone recommend a bodywork supplier?

Can you not buy them from Gkd ready formed ?

42" is indeed a "Book" width,
442 adds 4" to width and length and 2" to the height.
McSorley refers to Jim McSorley who produced a more accurate set of drawings for both standard an 442 variants.
The Haynes Roadster is a modern variant designed by Chris Gibbs with input from MK's Martin Keenan and IIRC is 2"
wider than the book. It differs mainly by having independent rear suspension and desingned to use a single donor Sierra.

Plenty paces to buy bodywork, MK, GTS, GKD. Scan through some of the sites on the LINKS page of this site.

Thanks for the replies.

The GKD one is an ally panel which requires rolling over the top edge is the part I'm not that happy with.

The gts one looks ideal as it covers the curved bar in front of the rear wheel but gts don't seem to be that reliable.

What about AGM ?

Rolling the Ali round the top isn't as difficult as it seems to make it look good...
