Does any one know if I need to modify the standard locost chassis from the book to fit a 2.8 v6 from a E-reg sierra???
Ford v6 fits fine in a standard chassis, I have a 2.9 v6 in my locost. Only problem I have found is the hight above the top chassis rail.
yeah I think I will have an air scoop or a power bulge or just have half the engine sticking out the top!!!!
what would you estimate the 0-60 mph to be?

I have no idea what the 0-60 will be ask ewan spence he is doing the same but is nearly finished!! hopfully pretty quick!!
I would guess around 6.5
I would gues the std bhp will be around 160 - 170 after taking the standard 150bhp, added a pair of big exhausts and a performance filter.
The woeght will be around 750 - 800 (a complete guess) so a bhp/tonne of (160/800 8 1000)= 200
This is a guess so feel free to correct me.
Ewan.
Ford v6 engine weight is about 320pounds, the altanator needs to be moved, I placed mine backwards, I will post some photos in the archive.
