Moving TR1 (book chassis)

My westfield zetec manifold fouls TR1. I was going to cut it off and replace it with preferably a V or an inverted V if a V wont fit. I think others have done this and I presume its OK. Id planned to leave the other side untouched - is this an issue - should both side be the same?

I personly would alter the manifold, and not alter a chassis

I've had to do the same. I think its a common mod as the book is primarily designed for a pinto.

Provided whatever you put in its place provides sufficient triangulation it doesnt have to be symmetrical IMHO.

roadster is pinto based but rons is xflow

My mate had a westfield with the same issue, chopped it out and insert a Y brace instead.

Put it on the other side?

Although i'd mod the manifold first, then y brace, then replace on the other side.
