chassis requirements new build

if i was to build a new chassis not a locost one but to my own design to suit the bodywork iam thinking of making, but then ty to iva it what are the requirements. do they test the flex or strength or do you need to supply drawing because its a one off.

They don't test the strength or flex, but if the examiner thinks that it isn't strong enough then the onus will be on you to prove it is.

Best way is to over rather than under-engineer it, and to follow classic chassis designs as far as possible.

thanks guys i was just thinking if they was going to start putting it onto a test rig to test the chassis .

nah, well, no two locist chassis are the same are they? so they'd have to do it with everyones

Any potential problem areas will be quickly pointed out.
