Hi i have just bought an unfinished project, the seller had bought it unfinished also, so i am unsure of the chassis manufacturer it is a sierra based 7 replica the chassis is largely round tube and it has been galvanised. i will try to post some photos and if any one reconizes the chassis i would be gratefull if they could let me know

Hard to see much from the photos as they're a bit blurry, but it doesn't look like a Robin Hood to me. I'd think a home made chassis from what I can see.

Is it IRS or live axle at the back?

Don't make them quite so BIG. It takes forever for my pute to download 'em and sometimes it's better to see it all at once rather than having to scroll around.

looks home made

That's a one off special. Definitely not Robin Hood or any recognised make

To me could be an early 2B, only because the bent tubes seem to be a very complicated way to do a one off.

He must have had a very well equipped workshop to bend that stuff.

Looks like a "2b copy".... a messy one at that... sorry

Andybarbet - 13/12/10 at 10:04 PM

Doesnt look like a production 2B but a close copy, maybe a pre production one ?

They sold a lot prototypes off a few years ago when they changed hands.

The front top wishbone mount looks like a square tube, as far as i know the 2B's with wishbones used this method to mount the wishbones too.

Be interesting to find the answer out & good luck

the good news, searching the archives revealed a previous owner of the kit asking the same question, the chassis is identical to a photo someone supplied of a lolocost chassis, am i right in thinking lolocost was taken over by Robin Hood?
the bad news i have just found out the cost of the IVA test £450! how long does the test take is it a couple of days, it bloody should be for that price i thought it was about £190

Takes 4 hours ish. Cost has more to do with the cost of the equipment and infrastructure than the time taken
