Walk down memory lane there....

Flashbacks of MOT's and all the giant rust holes & welding & new sills ...

Confused but excited. - 26/12/10 at 01:27 PM

The roadholding on the 1800s was legendary compared to other contemporary standard vehicles.

The 1800 was a bloody good car considering its heritage. 'kin big inside too, if they'd been able to make it really reliable it would have blown away the opposition. Problem was, at BL, reliabilty wasn't on the option list let alone a standard feature.

My Dad had 3 of those - I'd love to have one in my collection - if I ever get my collection started

The 1800 competed in the World Cup rally successfully, it is such a shame BL was so badly run, thier ground breaking designs should have made them world leaders and still going strong today. But thanks to the goverment, Michael Edwards and the unions the designs were never produced properly and build qualty was rubbish.
