Wishbones - Again!!

Hi, this is my first posting, and I have read 80% of the bent wishbone thread... WOW! makes me wonder!. I have just bought an abandoned Locost build. The chassis is finished and painted. My first thought was to shot blast it to remove all the paint and get it clean, so I could inspect the welds. Having seen this, I got a bit concerned. I now notice that the top mounts on the chassis do not appear to align. I can get a straight 1/2" rod through only 3 of the holes. I am assuming this should not be. Could someone confirm this. I suspect that its not in line!. Also I cant check the lower alignment as there is a vertical strut in the way! Anyone care to comment, or advise me. I am not in a hurry and will be away for a couple of weeks, so dont think I have done a runner if I dont reply!!!! I will read it all at some point!.
Thanks and it sounds a good forum!..

the bar between the lower holes is usual, i think its call FU1 and 2.

My holes dont align fully, but its not far out so im not bothered. I made my wishbones to fit, so its quite happy as it is.

If the alignment isn't very far out, then the rubber bushings will still allow the proper movement. But it should still be a relatively small misalignment. If you're using solid metal bushings or needle bearings then you're going to run into problems. Cheers!
