What are the main difference between the Haynes Roadster and MK Indy chassis?
The both aesthetically look similar so I wondering if any of the body panels are interchangble between them?
Not interchangeable. The Haynes is wider by 2 inch.
Side panels are the same, that's about it
The haynes roadster and mk indy designed by martin keenan
but they are different chassis designs

100% of MK Indys are built by MK using Jigs. Probably 80% of Haynes roadsters are being built at home therefore quality of alligngment and squareness not always guaranteed. Therer are a few place building them proffessionally so I would hope these are using jigs.

When I talk about Jigs I mean industrial type offering a greater degree of accuracy most manafacturers use heavy duty gear and the main chasis built
up arpound the Jigs ie to align upper and lower chasis rails etc. smaller jigs for front sections etc.
Sorry if any confusion caused oh and yes ther are people who appear to have build by eye and a tape measure

Think he means the body not the track. I thought the indy chasis was slightly taller.

I was under the impression that the haynes roadster was designed by a Mr Gibbs?
the chassis wasn't designed by Chris or Martin although i believe both had some input. it was penned by the same chap that designed the indy r
and the road runner sr2. im saying no more before a riot breaks out.
the roadster is a bigger car than an indy. the nose on mine looks notably wider than the other guys indy's in the local club. as for driving
experience i managed to get the haynes round the time trial at north wield faster than 4 indy's all had more power than me, but at the end of the
day i think there was bout 0.5 of a second in it.
the big difference is the indy is a kit only package. the Haynes is a scratch build, but there are some people like saturn, talon etc making them as
a kit package.
