Got my work cut out ! (non 7)
lsdweb - 17/5/11 at 04:49 PM

Just bought this - it's going to be a fair bit of work to fit it into my Clio which has to retain all trim to run in the standard production car class!

is it 2nd hand? is it normal for the middles of the tubes to be cut? welding the tubes back up won't be ok surely. looks a bit wrong to me. sorry

aslong as its internally sleeved no problem with cutting and rewelding

looks like LHD thou..

Were some of "your guys" doing a bit of practise on it mate

That's the way the Clio Cup cars were built! All sleeved properly and allowed in MSA / FIA regs. And all left hand drive - there's a bit of work in moving the steering column mount and beefing up the driver's door bars but it was a good buy so don't mind a bit of effort. Yesterday, I got quoted £820 + Vat for a rear cage only !!

Lucky s*d Rob!

It's only a six point cage but it does mean removing all the trim and dash.......!
