Hey, newbie here.
I have been thinking about building a kit for some time now and finally decided to jump in!
Like to think my skills are pretty good with a spanner, I have rebuilt a few engines in the past and done numerous HG's, replaced brakes,
exhausts, clutches etc. And I'm not bad with a welder. So hopefully I shouldn't have too much trouble building a kit!
Anyway, I have seen this chassis for sale and wondered what it was.
I am told is a locust series 2 frame ready to take sierra running gear, and that it did have a 2ltr dohc sierra engine and gear box in it at one
time.
So I guess my question is, is this a Locust s2 frame? and are these any good?]
Thanks!
Not a Locust as that's a ladder frame

Looks like a book Locost chassis (from the 1st/2nd edition book).
Compare with the book chassis drawings here.

Not sure who made it but looks incomplete, no suspension mounts, diff mount and tubes missing. My guess would be home built chassis.
See what the locost collective think

Yes, it's not an IRS design. Complete (pretty much) for a escort live axle though

Bit worried about the tube that's 'missing'/'cut out' at the rear of the tunnel at the bottom.

The Locost book style steering rack mounts will need beefed up
Looks like a book locost to me with no suspension mounts or rear axle mounts.
