How did you measure up?
Macca - 6/9/02 at 07:26 PM

Sorry it's such a simple question, but I think it maybe very important.
What have people used to measure out & mark up the dimensions for the chassis on their flat surface. Is any old retractable tape measure up to the job or do we need to be more accurate, I just don't want to start off on the wrong foot.
Any comments please?

Cheers Col.

i did just as you say.

its been said we are not building a swiss watch.

in the end, its the relative positions of the suspension mounting that matter.

its very likely your chassis will bananana 20mm or so end to end anyway.

take a look on TOL and search Ken Waltons posts of a month or two back. Ken has built and raced a lot of cars and there is an interesting answer on there for you.
