Sorry it's such a simple question, but I think it maybe very important.
What have people used to measure out & mark up the dimensions for the chassis on their flat surface. Is any old retractable tape measure up to the job
or do we need to be more accurate, I just don't want to start off on the wrong foot.
Any comments please?

i did just as you say.
its been said we are not building a swiss watch.
in the end, its the relative positions of the suspension mounting that matter.
its very likely your chassis will bananana 20mm or so end to end anyway.
take a look on TOL and search Ken Waltons posts of a month or two back. Ken has built and raced a lot of cars and there is an interesting answer on
there for you.

"tol" is the other list,we dont talk about them,its on yahoo,i used a meter rule,dosnt flop about,has a straight edge and no loose bit on the end to confuse you,happy building
