Guys sorry to bother you i wanted opinions on this vehicle.
does the chassis look complete and not really wanting the engine is it worth buying this or is it worth getting a new chassis for similar money
i have added pics into my archive
any advice appreciated

Depends how much they want for it, looks pretty complete to me, just like a book chassis.
It also looks like it may have cortina uprights, so all depends on how much money they want for it, component value is I would guess £250.
Are you trying to avoid any welding, the early book chassis benefits from a few modifications to toughen up the steering mounting and work to remove
bump steer, shortened rack etc.
Before purchase you need to go all over with a bit of string and make sure its square, measuringf corner to corner.

thanks for your reply chassis price is £450 for what is in the pics plus the front nose cone arches and an alloy tank.
by book chassis you mean the ron champion book?
sorry if im being dumb lol
i dont mind a bit of welding what i wante to avoid was having to weld a complete chassis i did think about a palon chassis but if the above is the same and comes with some extras for similar money i was trying to see if it was worth it or is it worth buying a n ew and starting a fresh
if the chassis has been welded good and its straight, yes its worth the money, personaly i wouldnt buy a chassis thats been homebuilt but then thats me, iv seen some chassis on ebay going cheap and you can see in the pic that its not straight, like mark says you just need to go over it and check it.
I was watching that on eBay last week it sold for £510 has it been re-listed??
thanks for the advice being new to this im not sure whether it would be better to go for a talon chassis and start a fresh or go for this but i would
not want that engine so i would be buying it for chassis and body panels.
im away till end of week so will be unable to check over chassis etc as it will be gone but the guy has said it is a straight chassis.
do you think this is home built or is it possible to be a prodution chassis like talons
thanks
What's in the package there is well worth the asking price as long as the chassis is well built.
most people say its been welded by a pro welder with 10,15,30 year experience but you just dont know, i would go for a talon, he came on the seen on ebay after i bought mine of aries otherwise i would of bought a talon, i also thought of buying the flatpack version and getting someone to weld it, but then i would of had to make a jig for it, in the end i bought it from aries and i searched and thought about it for 4-5 months.
it comes with what is in the picture plus the arches and front nose.
what i am trying to work out is buying the chassis with the above for 450 but im not sure on the engine etc so really it is 450 for the chassis and
body panels and or 475 nfor a brand new talon chassis then i will have to source the nose cone etc.
these decisions are not easy lol
talon is based on the new book by chris gibbs same as mk indy so there are more places where you can buy body panels and plus its slightly roomier.
spiderman thanks i really appreciate you taking some time to answer.i am thinking along the same lines about going for a talon as i do not know how
old that chassis is and also if it was pro welded.
i have just bought the the haynes book from amazon and am awaiting arrival so i can start looking
