Can you do one for the book Ford Escort engine and box? ... and the Pinto and 5-speed? ... and a Suzuki G13B GT and Samurai 5-speed? ... and a Miata MX5? ... and a Rover V8? ... and a Toyota 4AGE and T50?

Are you aware of the drawing feature in solidworks?
You can generate clearly dimensioned 2d drawings of projections of your 3d models. Have a look in the help, it's very very neat.

I have a very rough model of a rover V8 (probably +- 1 inch like you said your 13b model is). I do intend to refine it a bit and possible model the various intake systems that exist too. Something to do after I come back from my hols I think.

It needs more detail round the front too, like the massive protruding oil filter and various pulleys.

I'll probably do an LT77 too since that'll be very handy for designing our tranny tunnel without having to lug 50kg of ali and iron onto a 3 ft high table.
