Hi Guys,
Just thought I'd say hello! and ask for some advice.
Bought rons 2nd book and have now got the room to build a book locost.what i was wondering is,is there any mistakes in the chassis that i should look
out for and when complete is there any companies that can supply a Fiberglas body, scuttle, and rear end panel that will fit a book locost.
Thanks for any help

I really hate to be a jerk about this........but....this has been covered a gazillion times on here. I know we all started as noobies one time or
another, but a simple use of the SEARCH feature will answer all your
questions....

By the way, welcome to the crowd, have fun and best luck with your build. I too am building by the book.

to sum it up, there are several errors it the book. Jim Mcsorley's website has a corrected version of the book plans. There are companies whose
body work will fit a book car, but im not sure which!
to find jims site, either do a google or wait for someone who knows the URL!
all the best, Joel.
Here is the URL http://mcsorley.net/locost/
Hi All,
Thanks for the reply's,down loaded the plans from Jim Mcsorley's website.i might do the extra four inch wide one but can you get a
windscreen to fit it??? of will some thing like a robin hood fit as i believe they are wider than the book locost.
All the best,Ba

Just to point you in the right direction, the most significant error in the book, (in my opinion), concerns the dimensions of the upper wishbone. I
would advise that you familiarise yourself with this as there are more than one solution and it is best to decide which way you are going to approach
it before you start building the chassis.
As others have said, it's all on here.
Cheers Mick
you can get wider glass cut to order by most car windscreen fitting companies.
more importantly, make sure you have a source of +4 fibreglass
