People there who can tell me more about this chassis?
Seamless tube or welded, how thick (25 mm), expiriences?
Is the car very light when it's on the road?

It's expensive by our standards whatever it's made out of. There's a completed rolling chassis for sale on one site for £10,500 . That's 42 locosts.

Has anybody seen this 'Camber Compensation Sytem' that he gets so excited about? What is it?

Cheers,

James

The CC system is quite smart. Basically by using floating links in the suspension system as the car rolls, which would introduce camber change, the geomerty of the suspension changes to correct itself. I havent driven a dax with this fitted but i made them alot quicker round the track. A big benefit is braking where with soft springing you dont get the increase in negative camber due to dive, the wheel stay upright. Looks funny when you see them being driven tho......

I found the price list on the Dax site. The chassis is either 1.5mm x 25mm square or round, you can have either.

DAXRC02 R/Ch. Non Assembled ~ Square Tube  @ £5795.00
DAXRMC Round Tube Roll./Ch including CCAR  @ £8445.00
DAXRMC03 Round Tube Non Assembled R/Ch incls. CCAR  @ £7945.00

I am in the process of adding a similar camber compensating system to my MK Indy. It took a while to calculate all the formulas but now it only takes moments to calculate the required linkage dimensions based on any chassis and wishbones!

How much are you going to charge for a copy of the programme? I quite like the idea of camber compensation.
