Tube Notcher - any recommendations?
FuryRebuild - 2/7/12 at 10:35 AM

I'm either after buying one, or buying plans to make one (but would prefer to buy).

I want to try and keep my budget down though - anyone recommend one, or have one for sale?

I've got a half round file going cheap.

Can't remember the company, but I saw one a while back which consisted of a jig in which to clamp the tube and mount an electric hand drill fitted with a hole saw. Fairly simple and it looked effective if a little slow to use.

Like this....

If you have access to a mill or lathe then you can do them this way with a hole saw

or if you want to splash get a set roughing end mill's like the one used here
