Tranny tunnel for LT77 for those who may be interested

It's only a first draft and I've yet to put it in the chassis and take actual measurements but this is what I knocked up in CAD yesterday.

Based on comments from craig12342323323 at the panels are flat and vertical so it should be pretty simple to fabricate. There's probably a little more footwell space to be had after trying it for real.

Looks like it might be a tight squeeze for your clutch operation - but a good footrest

My thoughts too. There is enough room for 3 feet in that space though I think.
Will try sitting in actual chassis with gearbox in and some peddles dangled and see how it looks.

Hi Mackie -

What CAD system did you use? And how much? Very interesting CAD pic.

Solidworks 2004, and how much, you mean money? Dunno, ask whoever paid for it...

Student price is only $99 (or $199 with Cosmos FEA, CFD and kinematics features)
Full price is in the region of $5000 i think.
I'm not sure if you have to be a registered student or whether a hobbyist could qualify for the cheapo price since it's not for commercial gain.

Mackie,

Thanks for that info. Will look around UK vendors. Maybe it can be obtained online?

I expect it can, in various ways.
