Anyone know how thick in mm 16 swg should be?

It's easy to remember this conversion!

16swg = 1.6mm = 1/16"

Pure coincidence, but a useful thing to remember...

i got told in a recent thread that its not as simple as the 1/x thing, but that is certainly a good approximation. There are many different gauges...
