Hello to all.
First I want to thanks for all info i've found on this forum.
It was very helpfull.
After one year of building and fighting with this freaky chassis RH2B ,have decided to change front suspension and make it much better and more
safety.
Some info about kit
Chassis Robin Hood 2B but not original from uk.
Frame was made by the guy who said he is a perfectionist at this.
Crap he was not for god sake!!!
As u can see front top wishbone is not the same as in originall Robin
I made about 500 pics and I'm not going to show you how awful and full of problems my build was.
I pick best for u.
Now the car passed the IVA ( good word i hope) and now it is the time to make it all perfect.

Gearbox Mt 75

Some pics of exhaust manifold just for testing and make the car not so noisy.
More pics of exhaust .
Like I said only for test .
Next will be made 4 in 1
And after year it looks like this
Now I m going to fix all the bugs made by me and frame builder.
Wish me luck.
Thanks for watching.
I'll be posted as some new stuff will done.
Regards from Poland.
Some pictures of the new pedal box.
Originall from siera was not good for me and for nothing either.
A lot of hard work going on there... Nice one
Andi
Good work.
You need to put it on a diet now and lose that massive beam suspension at the rear.
Yeah I know.
But much better will be to buy a new frame than make it that rear suspension lighter.
Some pics
Engine bay with custom int. manifold.
some new parts .
New short 2.4 Escort mk II steering rack with alloy clamps.
and alloy fuel pump holder

Hi, nice car, and some very good modifications to the 2b chassis. Did you make the rear arches made to your design? You will have had to cover the outer part of the rear beam!
I like that seat! Can you tell me please where you got it from?
Hi Darek,
Very impressive work on your vehicle. However, I have 1 major criticism. In such a small car as a "Seven"-type, there is no real need for a
2-piece propshaft. It is a potential hazard, as centre bearing mounts have been known to let go. Please ensure that your centre bearing chassis fixing
is secure, and search on forum here for prop catchers.

Have you found the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register ( RHOCaR) yet

To Grimsdale
Rear arches i made straight cause i cut out top of the corners at the back and made them in 90 degrees so i dont need RH2B rear arches.
pic of arches and rear fenders not cut yet (marker)
To Scootz
Seats were made by my friend the same guy made nosecone bonnet and rest of the laminated body.
http://www.lotus7.pl/forum/1-vt1649.html?start=0
take a look next pages of that topic.
Thats his car and seats inside ,now are mine.
He had now time so sell it for me pair of them.
Driver one is adjustable
on the 3rd pic u can see my Locost on the car lorry after completing the body at his garage.
It took a week to make it and compare it to the frame from sizes of haynes actually.
To Dick Axtell
I made 2 pieces shaft because rear diff is lower than exitshaft from gearbox.
Dont ask me why ?!
I can change it by push it the diff more inside up but oh god next thing to fix it in this frame.
Propshaft was made with precission by the company which is know how to do it.
so i dont have to be afraid of.
To Snapper
Yeah i found it but this forum was much better in my opinion.
fuel pump holder

Hi all
Some new pics of work.
After looking at the original chassis RH2B I figure it out that my tunnel is made wrong so I decided to get this sh*t out.
Decide to make a straight tunnel like in Haynes book.
I t is much easier to cover it and to fix a handbrake in it.
old one.
Flywheel after diet just came today afternoon
4,5 kg (was 13,5 )
Gearbox side
Engine side
.....more coming soon
Some correction about weight it is not 4,5 like I said before it is 5.02 on the elctronic scale.
Hi Darek,
What a striking design of flywheel! And the machining looks excellent, (from your photos). Congratulations on an impressive build.
Re - Your propshaft. Thanks for your clarification, and the diff position mention. With a live axle version like mine, I didn't encounter any
positional probs. Which only goes to show that you'll always learn something on this site.
Hi Darek,
I'm very impressed with your work, shows you have lots of patience to get things right. Well done.

Some new pics of progress.
New tunnel.
Need some advice.
Cant find in Poland

My ask is could anybody send me this pinion seal or a set of seals for my diff.
I will send cash on paypal or a bank account.

Just stick some gripper tape on it or bolt a piece of chequer plate with countersunk screws, nobody will see it down in the footwell.
Clutch pedal refab.
sandblasted and painted rear hubs and bearing carriers
Some new pics of build.
Changed rear end ,new wheels .new rear bearings and long studs.
Hand made fuel tank with sierra sensor unit inside.
External fuel pump with before and after filtering.
[Edited on 14/2/14 by Darek32]
Sierra speedo changed to VDO look
and Golf /Audi additional gauges
Searching thru internet i found that scorpio mk1 2.0 dohc has a nice circle rev counter .
Think it will do the job.
I was thinking to buy new VDO or Autogauge rev counter but...
I'm afraid of will they work properly without any electrical changing or adding any stuff to loom.

cut of round and make some alu covers
Hi
I think you should be proud of this Robin Hood look alike tube made seven... dang it's nice
I really like the way how the round tubes are used in the middle of the car. How big are the tubes and the thickness of it, dia in/out?
I would like to ask some questions if I can: Is the car the same measurements as RH or is it a little different!
The inside dimension of the cockpit, tube to tube how many cm!
The seats how wide in the bottom and how high .... I did try to get some info from the make/producer but could not find any!!
Take your time... use your time rather to make your car going then write back at once.
I really would like to have a round tube chassis seven ...... its just a smooth and beauty......
Thats all for now.
Best luck
Orvar

Book Wishbones started

Thanks for the answer .... really nice of you.
You are on the right road/track before the summer strikes back.... hoping soon!
http://chomikuj.pl/lucas-d/Haynes+Roadster/CAD If anybody is in need of drawings to make parts for a Seven .... good info here
All for now
[Edited on 27/2/14 by Guten i Norge]
1 down ... three to go !
Bottom ball joint Opel Calibra. ref. no Ruville :EVR 915323
Some pics.
Front wishbones in chassis. only needs fully weld
Steering rack 2.4 fits excellent and work smooth ( will see on the road)
Poly bushes are great
Some progress.
Front suspension finished. Fully weld
Need adjustment when all parts goes into frame.
Looks much better on 17 inch rims , hope will drive the same good.
Now I'm on the back back of the chassis finishing tail , fuel pump bracket, tank holder and fuel filler ( from Fiat 126p )
I was looking for sparco one but it is too expensive for this season for me.125 pounds
Shiny weather soon...I'll be ready
Some new approaches and nice feature her in this build, nice to watch.
Keep on with the good work and then one day the summer time is back.
How is it, are you and the master-frame maker doing a better frame with this changes on your car and then putting the frame in production or is it
just yours own ideas to make the car handle better!!
All for now.... thx
I bought this frame 2 years ago.
After registred and studying some forum and talking to other builders i figure it out that it has a lot of bugs and mistakes in front suspension and
elsewhere.
Changes ive made was for my protection.
for example front suspension before changes ( original)
take a look on front upper and bottom wishbone
this picture shows how terrible and wrong camber suspension was ....fucking hightmare to adjust.
Hell no way to adjust proper.
no camber
new suspension mounts with new wishbones
camber 8 to 10 degrees
I can see that you have been on with changes both front and rear.
You did lower the the top A-arms mounts into the chassis and in rear you did put some lighter tubes in.
I did see the A-arms where going down from chassis to the wheel, but now its upwards as I can see it. That's a better way ......
Just like many her are doing put the car together and then make it suitable after registration..... fix it at first and then......
I still think your chassis is stunning, strong and heavy, but nice lines in it ....
All the best
Some new parts added
Coolling system with polo rad.
wiring mess...
New air filter
painted exhaust manifold .. looks much better i think
Front view
After some time I have decided to buy a brand new gauges like Rev counter 80mm, speedo 80mm and cooling temp gauge 52mm.
Was to much work with originall sierra's one and it wont looks perfect after all.
....
With old types GTI vdo
looks much better
Today I have made right side with alu sheet.
1.5mm thin. Edges made with a special edger in a profi company.
Looks very nice.
