Are there any plans available to change the book chassis to the slightly smaller Caterham ( 7 series 3) dimensions. Would it still be possible to use the rest of the book set up ( escort donor etc) . Thanks
This is probably the best you will get in terms of lotus/caterham chassis plans

Hi
See SkinnyG's posts at: http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/lo-cost-101-how-do-i-make-a-cool-caterham-replica/17266/page2/
Apparently you can move the dashboard 3 inches further back and modify the position of the taper of the front tubes on the book chassis. So have to
weld up your own chassis to do this. May make he footwells tighter though.
Cheers
Mike
My Locost is being built to the Vauxhaull Chevette dimensions (the donor), which is almost the same as the original Sevenīs. I shortened the cockpit
to 1200mm length, but the engine is almost in the same location, so the clutch cover outside the tunnel. The front of the cockpit is wider, so there
is more space for pedals (I use a VW pedalbox). Check below. Itīs ok for me (1,80m) but if you are taller you may need more space. Dash will be pretty
close to the steering wheel, and getting in and out a bit more difficult.

Thanks, I'll look into it...Ideally I would like to change the book chassis slightly to get it to a more original lotus 3 dimensions whilst still keeping the rest of the build close to the book.
