Formula 27 info
Plunky - 6/2/14 at 10:37 AM

Hi guys,

Just looking for a bit of info on my F27 as there is very little info available online.

Can anyone tell me what donor vehicle the basic components are from? such as bushes/ ball joints/ steering column/wheels etc?

Any help would be great.

I believe my F27 is the wide body version if that changes anything.

Cheers,

Liam

At a guess with out pictures:
Rear
Escort axle
Escort drum brakes
Escort hand brake

Steering
Escort column
Cortina rack.

Font uprights Cortina.
Brake Calipers Ford M16.

If you have some pictures that would help.

more or less correct - I would have expect rack to be escort rack.

.... oh and as ^^^^ said, they have been around for quite a while, from the first plan built chassis to production chassis, changing ownership several times.

there was a club but has little activity and probably is defunct now.
