my Haynes roadster weighs 680kg,as driven to cornerweighting place,3.012v engine bmw gartrag box ,sierra diff bolt on shafts, westfield r hubs, cortina fronts, steel floors and a couple of extra bars in the chassis, speed and ride excellent, actual grip not so good, cautionn needed and deadly in the wet, have been competing in autosolos to much power and not as nimble as caterhams etc but lots of fun,any questions I will try to advise, former comment on tyre pressures is spot on,after much experimentation 22/24psi is ok any softer and excessive wear to side of tyres not the tread, springs are standard haynesan ride is very compliant{for a seven]phil

Is that an 3.0 M30 BMW engine in your Haynes then?

I've no idea but was intrigued that he appears to be using a BMW M30 in a Haynes. That's a huge / heavy lump, which would account for the rather lardy kerb weight

I think he has a 3.0 V6 Alfa engine and a BMW Getrag box (if you put the post and signature together). Not sure what the question was though....
