After looking at the sr2 and having a quick read up about them I'm tempted to go that route looks a nice bit of kit
Are the indy rr chassis tubular now? And what's the weight of a bare chassis?
Hi the Indy rr chassis is tubular the wieght with a full race roll cage is 65kg.
Have a look on our Facebook page there's lots of pictures of cars were buildig and parts we supply.
What engine are you thinking of fitting.
Great, I'll probably go full cage, engines a turbo k series custom bellhousing with type 9
What's the build time of the mk indy rr chassis?
That engine will fit fine.if you want to come and visit the workshop your more than welcome.
From the place of order it's 2 weeks.
Thanks Danny
have a chat with eddie99....
hes designed and built his own 7...
Elite Pulse
they are available in kit or turnkey.
did very well in 750MC sports specials this year.
6 lap records out of 7 tracks visited.
have a look at http://www.elitemotorsport.co.uk/
My advice is to go to your local iva station and ask the inspectors advice. The one at Nottingham iva centre had some serious opinions on chassis build quality and manufacturer customer relations. I won't say what here.
You'll struggle to get an unbiased opinion around here.
I have met, chatted to and bought parts from Danny at MK. Marc at MNR and Mike at Roadrunner.
They're all friendly enough. For every negative you hear about each of them someone will have a positive.
My advice would be to visit all 3 and make your decision based on your own feelings, research and budget.
I'd definitely give Eddie at Elite Motorsport engineering a call. He had an amazing deal on a cracking chassis not long ago. And he's a
genuine friendly bloke. He would be my choice if I was building another 7

As said, you'll get 100s of different views on this - you'll need to go and speak with people. Personally, to meet your brief and assuming
that only cycle-winged cars are in-scope, I'd choose from:
Elite Motorsport Engineering
Westfield - although expect them to not be too helpful when it comes to the K-series
Raw Striker
I can't add Procomp as while I really like their cars, I think you'd need IRS on bumpy roads.
Good advise, just out of interest can you fit car engine into the mk stealth/radical type cars, rover k series to be exact
You need a transaxle to get one in. I think one spire was built with an audi transaxle but not sure what mtor was in it!
I'd be lookin at a front engined car with the k series and probably an mnr!
Radicals older designs and most newer ones use bike power. Early ones ran kawasaki zzr 1100 and 1200 then they ent to the hayabusa. Only a few of the
later designed cars run a car motor but they are mega money!
Thought as much, just looking at the chassis of those type of kits it looks like you might get away with mounting the engine in the passenger compartment and run a type 9 and mount the diff off centered to allow for the prop to bolt at somewhere near of a straight angle, anyone seen a chassis like that up close and think it might be possible?

Correct, but a radical or spire would be a different story!
