New Car Time

Evening,

I have convinced the other half to let me have another Kit Car. I used to have a Robin Hood 2B with a 2.0 Pinto engine but sold it as it was a third car and it was to slow and not as enjoyable to drive as my 380bhp Mr2 at the time. Sold that as had to buy a house so finally can get another one.

Looking for a bike engined Kit Car i think, also looked at 2.0 Zetec as well but always wanted a bike engined kit car so think I will go for that.

Ive been looking at ZX9 MK Indys and i was wondering what people thought of the chassis and the engines, what are things to look out for?

Also would i miss a the reverse gear if one came out the right price.

Budget around £8k

I built a striker with a zx9 back in 2003 and was pleased with the performance I didn't have a reverse so you have think a bit more but wasn't really a problem , just bear in mind zx9 engine are pretty old now , maybe worth looking at cars with newer engines .

ZX9 seems to be very popular engine in that price range, im struggling to find much else? Whats the expected life of these bike engines?

I would look at am MNR, there is one at the bottom of the home pade well within your budget. its nothing to do with me by the way.

I have had an MK with a car engine and an MNR with an R1 in it and i know which kit i would have again in a heart beat.
