Is it just me or is it getting harder to find steel stockholders? Over the last couple of years the places where I usually get my box section or sheet steel from have closed down and prices seem to have gone through the roof. Going to have to make some phone calls over the coming months to try and find some local to Barnsley or Wakefield.
I use https://www.fhbrundle.co.uk/ down here, keen pricing and £10 delivery, nearest to you is Haydock I think but you may be in their delivery catchment area.
depends if you want nice shiny new metal.
I personally use a scrap metal place where i get all of my metal for pennies, just needs a bit of cleaning when i get it
As above I just go to our local scrap dealer who gives me a hard hat and let's me fill the trailer with whatever metal I want then weighs it again then charges me the scrap value, cost me hardly anything

Any good?
Prices seem OKish, and probably not too far?
I stumbled across their website the other day. I am getting short of steel, and also need a load of 800mm long m12 stakes so should get free
delivery...
Cheers for that

Try these, not too far away, they have always sorted me out.

Tried your local Service Metals depot, or AALCO? I know they predominantly deal with larger/trade customers, but don't think they'd have any issues if you asked them for a quote.
I've used several options.
1. A local fabrication company who have a good stock of materials and are able to lend a hand with tools I don't have (guilotene etc.).
2. B+M Steel (one local to me in Winchester) - http://www.bmsteel.co.uk/ - again they have good stocks and will
also cut things so you can get them in the car as well.
