Just a tip that I found really helped:
I bought two rear infill panels from GTS for £8.50 and they make starting the rear end so easy as all the angles are laser cut and hold the whole thing in shape.

very good idea ---- this one part of the build that causes trepidation for the first time builder.

I found that marking the steel then using a magnetic 90 degree welding clamp was a good way of doing this and imho it's better to position and weld the suspension brackets in place before welding the infill panels in as you have better access to ensure a good weld on the important bits ie chassis member and suspension brackets. The infill panels can be stitch or seem welded in afterwards. all IMHO as I've just finished this area of the chassis myself aswell.

The way i used came from the Mcsorely sight which was to tack K1/2 to M1/2 whalst laid flat on a work surface.


You clamp a lenght of spare 1" RHS as a base line (representing A tubes) and scribe on the work surface all the key points to line K/M up to.
