Has anyone managed to convert the McSorely IGES files to DXF or DWG format for Autocad? I have been looking at Sierra based options and think a book
front end with a Tiger Avon rear end may be a possibility however I would like to draw it first and i only have Autocad or Vectorworks 9 available
neither directly import IGES
TIA

I cant get them to open with autocad or pro engineer. But i would like to veiw them as well if anyone can tell me how to.
I think I have, and if I haven't I think I can. How do I post the file?
I will try this
Its the only iges I can see, but its not complete (no transmission tunnel etc.). The bones are there though, and given the standard of Mr
McSorely's work - I would expect it to be accurate.
Right click - save as - open. Or something like that.
nope i get the message "drawing by incompatible version"
Have a look at http://www.guthcad.com/
There you can find a very handy conversion tool called dwgConvert 3.0.
I aslo found 2 drawing on my computer. I don't know if they are any good!

First drawing
Second drawing
And I just found a third drawing.
omega 24 v6, what version of AutoCAD do you have?
I have AutoCad 2000i, but I couldn't open the files, so I had to convert them with dwgConvert 3.0 which I found on http://www.guthcad.com/
But I guess that the drawings are made with AutoCad 2004 or higher.
I think itsR14 i'll just check
Yep r14
Thanks for the tries folks, I can't open these dwgs with either autocad 2000 or autocad lite 2004

Which version of Autocad are u using then?
There's some evaluation stuff here that might be worth a try. IGES viewer It has an online evaluation function or the other bit looks like a time limited demo.
