I expect this has been asked before but I have had a quick search through and couldn’t find anything so here goes.
Am I being completely stupid or are tubes FU1 and 2 not mentioned in the RC second edition book other than in the plans? I’m a little unsure of how
they are meant to be situated. Are they meant to be sat back from the edge of the chassis in line with the front upright ready to take the wishbones
or is this too obvious?
Oh yes, the old FU's question. They are for mounting the suspension brackets. Do nothing but the lightest tack weld, or don't even bother with them until you get to mounting the suspension brackets - if you build goes anything like mine you'll move them about 20 times b4 you get them in the right spot!

Hi Gremlin check the message i sent to craig on more accurate suspension, get two peices of MDF 11 inches x 26 inches and mark out as on page 63 cw
vertical centre lines so you can set to your base board , follow the procedure and you will see that fu1 and fu2 are set back from the top rails, this
correct. cheers davef.
hey gremlin you'll soon discover when the've been moved a couple of times what FU stands for ( what are the f~~~~~ Useles bits of steel for anyway)
